JETSTREAM is a live, interactive map of the world's jet streams. It animates global upper-level winds, their speed, direction and intensity, at the 200, 250 and 300 hPa pressure levels where the polar-front and subtropical jet streams flow. Wind data comes from the NOAA GFS model via Open-Meteo and is rendered as a flowing particle field over a dark, draggable 3D globe or a flat world map. Drag to rotate, scroll to zoom, and switch pressure levels to track the jet stream in real time.
